While in Syracuse, NY we decided to take advantage of the U-pick strawberry fields they had all around town. Hannah's family did this a lot when she was young and thought it would be fun to go relive the old days and let Cody and the girls experience it as well.
The girls weren't sure about it at first--they just wanted to hold the buckets while we picked the strawberries and put them in there. Then they wanted to do it themselves...we paid for and took home a lot of green and rotten strawberries. I think we should check the baskets before we pay next time.

As usual, we recruited Jack to come with us. I am not sure what the negotiation is here, but it sure does look suspicious.

After we picked the strawberries, the girls helped me wash and mash them for Strawberry Shortcake. They really did a good job.
Okay...and until I put these pics up, I didn't realize that Braidee had the knife in her hand. Really, who is supervising these kids?
