Braidee's Day

So for FHE awhile back we created a "Family Fun Sack" where we listed a bunch of activities that we could do together as a family.  Since Cody's work schedule has been so crazy, he decided that during his 7 days off we should take advantage of that time and do some of those family activities.

Each of the kids got to pick a few activities from the sack.  One of Braidee's activities was to have a "Caveman Night" where we had to eat dinner without any utensils.

So we made it extra fun by having something as messy as spaghetti and cottage cheese.

The kids sure seemed to have a good time.

Mom and Dad did participate, we just chose to be left out of these pictures.

Whoo's 6? Davis Is

Happy 6th Birthday Davis!

We decided to do an "Owl Theme" this year.  Aunt Tyler helped me with the cake and cupcakes.
I think they turned out pretty good.

Davis took a few of her friends skating and then they came back and had cupcakes.

Braidee eating her favorite part...the
candy off the top!

Doesn't she look thrilled!

Willis is always up for birthday parties.

Tooth Fairy Come Visit Me

Davis lost her first tooth!
It has been so wiggly and her permanent tooth has already started coming in but the darn thing just would not fall out. So we sat down for lunch and ate "tooth-pulling out" food (a cheese sandwich), and lo and behold it knocked that tooth right out! We had to find the tooth in the bread after.

Happy Halloween!

Lets see, we have 1 spider, 1 bride, and a Fancy Nancy.

The Spider

The Bride.

Fancy Nancy.

Willis isn't quite sure what he has gotten himself in to, but I think he will be okay with it when the evening is all over.

Braidee's Big #3

Happy Birthday Braidee!!!

She was so excited to turn 3 because then she would be a "big girl". Mom and Dad are excited for her to turn 3 as well because then maybe when we ask her to do something we won't hear "no cuz I'm not a big girl yet". For example, she hates going to Nursery but she informed me that when she is 3 she will be a big girl and she will go all by herself! (We'll see if this is still true in a few weeks!)

She really wanted a pink flower for her birthday so this is what we came up with. If you use your imagination a little you can see a flower!

Her and Davis LOVE sugar. You know, Pixie Sticks and all those other messy, powdery candies. She got some for her B-day and was trying to break into it.

She had her pink plate sitting in front of her spot hours before we had cake. I think she thought that if a piece of cake just happened to appear on there we would never notice.

Birthday Boy!

Willis is one-year-old today! Wow, time goes fast! He wasn't exactly sure how to react to everyone (mostly his sisters) telling/singing "Happy Birthday" to him every few minutes. At times it seemed to be an overload. But I think by the end of the night he was happy he had a birthday!

We put the cake in front of him and just let him go at it. I thought for sure the M&M's would be the first to go but he actually seemed to pick at the frosting around them.

He is never shy about eating!

Mmmmmmmmmm!
